On Monday, December 5, 2016, Cravath hosted an alumni reception at New York City's Plaza Hotel. A record number of guests attended and the energy in the room was electric. We had 645 attendees, which included a large group of alumni, current and retired partners, as well as other lawyers and staff. Lawyers from places as far as Peru and Finland and as near as Brooklyn, came together to share an evening filled with laughs and warm embraces as guests reminisced and enjoyed each other's company.

In addition to the familiar faces of alumni who left Cravath during the last few decades, we were honored by the attendance of those who worked at the Firm as early as the 1950s and 1960s, including Ralph Gerra (1950 to 1953), Don Swan (1953 to 1959) and John Turbyfill (1956 to 1960). The range of careers paths was far reaching as well. Together, the alumni attendees represented more than 63 banks and financial institutions, 44 corporations, 16 governmental agencies, 11 nonprofit organizations and a number of law firms.  It was an incredible evening and one that will be remembered fondly by all who attended.
